Mozzarella Pearl Eyeballs - Mozzarella pearls are available in most large supermarkets, and their ready-made ball shape makes them the perfect instant edible eyeball! Dot with edible marker or add a tiny circle of cucumber skin to turn them into eyeballs.

I made this one for last Halloween, turning it into an eyeball by cutting it into a circle, adding a carrot disk dotted with a black edible marker pen and drawing on the 'veins' with a red edible marker pen. Eyeball Quesadilla - Quesadillas are really easy to make and a great way of using up scraps of food left over from making bento lunches. I had used leftover basmati rice rather than sticky rice so they were a little crumbly!ģ. For the eyeball themed snack below, I served my rice eyeballs up in mini silicone cups to make them slightly easier to eat. To turn your rice ball into an eyeball, cut a disk from cheese, colour with food colouring and draw on a pupil using black food colouring or an edible marker pen. (This is a very similar technique to the one used for sandwich balls, see this blog post for my sandwich ball tutorial). Simply place a spoonful of sticky rice in the centre of a piece of clingfilm, gather up all the edges and twist until the clingfilm is tight and the rice has formed into a firm ball. I am of the belief that that if you want to do one simple thing to make food fun and to make the recipient smile, that one thing is to add eyes.
