One thing to bear in mind is that this technique only hides the image from view in the main Photos tab of the app – the chronological section split into Years, Collections, and Moments. By default, the Hidden album is locked on iOS 16, so any photos and videos in that folder can only be viewed with your passcode or Touch/Face ID.
